Based in La Mirada, California, Safe Utility Exposure, Inc. (SUE) is centrally located in between Orange and Los Angeles County to provide planning and engineering consulting services to public and private sector clients, specializing in 3^rd Party/Utility/Permitting Coordination, utility engineering, drainage, traffic coordination, transportation planning, traffic engineering, utility potholing, Jack & Bore Construction, and project management.

Our local and experienced staff and managers possess substantial knowledge of the design standards, construction requirements, and third party coordination efforts necessary to perform design-build and construction throughout California.  Our professional staff of registered Civil and Traffic Engineers has been involved from concept to completion in many of the largest public works and design-build projects in California that have involved direct coordination with entities such as City of Los Angeles, Caltrans, LACMTA, BART, FAA, SWRCB, Army Corp, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, Southern California Gas, Southern California Edison, AT&T, Los Angeles County Department of Public Works, San Gabriel Valley Cities, San Fernando Valley, TCA, POLB, the Exposition Authority, and the Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension Authority.

SUE is comprised of a team of over 10 professionals with the experience and required California professional registrations to produce traffic engineering and civil engineering plans. The company is a US DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 26 DBE, WBE, and SBE firm certified by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) and a VSBE firm certified by the Port of Long Beach.  SUE also holds many local city, county, and state certifications.

The company’s engineering experience includes; coordination and management of the design of traffic signals, pavement delineation, street lighting, roadside and overhead signage, freeway ramp meter signals, ramp lighting, construction staging and traffic handling plans, and transportation planning analysis. The utility design experience includes; Water, Storm Drain, Sewer, Duct Bank, Dry Communication & Power Conduit, Existing Utility Composite, Utility Relocation Composite, and intensive utility coordination. In addition, SUE has construction support experience that includes construction management, third party owner representation, permitting, procurement of new services, and utility potholing.

The president of the company is Mrs. Amy Miller, who founded Safe Utility Exposure, Inc. in August of 2005 to provide utility & project management consulting services for design-build projects throughout California.  She leads the company with the goal to make honesty, integrity, safety, and quality our highest priority. SUE is a client-driven organization that bases their services according to a client’s scope of work.  SUE’s reputation displays a highly qualified team that helps to keep projects on time, within scope, and on budget.
